Weekend LAN gaming in the High-Country is rapidly becoming a reality. DnD Technologies along with members of Boone’s own Appstate.net team are working to bring the ultimate gaming experience to its contestants.

To support 50+ players, we will be running on a 10/100/1000mb LAN. We will be operating with top of the line Mikrotik routers. Dell switches and servers will be behind the scenes running the magic of the evenings’ events. Available to all will be public Internet access, game support, tech support, and hardware support.

1-on-1 Death matches and team play scenarios were held at different stages throughout the evening. Clans brought the pain, but were limited to match the smallest team in size. Only games that are being served during the weekend will be played on the hosted equipment.

Boone is a city that resides in the mountains of North Carolina. There is snow and ice that makes its way to the area during the winter months. This might render the tournament inaccessible to many, in which case we would reschedule the entire event. The first couple of tournaments are going to be used to “test the waters” if you will. We hope that you can come and be apart of this as we all watch it grow.
